Niko is an awesome boxer.  And he is a very big boy! He is AKC, UKC & CKC registered. We hope he will add height, substance and nicer muzzles to our future Puppies.  He is a beautiful boxer and I am very glad we chose to make him part of our family.  Niko will join our breeding program in the future, so check back!  Niko will add that " something special " to our puppies in and out of the show ring, and if all goes as planned, he will be showing in the coming months! So look for Niko in the ring and on our show page!

My Ears are gone!

Today, March 6, 2009, my ears were cropped for the show ring. I am not sure what this "show ring" is, but I don't like it already! If they have to take anything else off, I'm outta here!

Yesterday, I left that awful place they call the "vet". They cut your ears, you know?! And mommy took that itchy tape off so my ears could start to heal! Here I am, the day after my crop. Mommy said it's awesome my ear is already "standing", but I heard her say they have to post them again! I hope it doesn't hurt or itch! The itching is making me crazy!

Yep, they reposted them. It was better than I thought. Mommy was VERY careful not to hurt me. She used Q-Tips without the cotton and clear packing tape. It did not go around my boo-boo, but around the other side of my ear. So it didn't cover the cut at all. That way, I could still be posted, but my ears would heal and the cut would stay clean and dry! Which means I don't get infected ears! And that's really important to my mom :) It may look silly or different than what others do, but it worked for us :) Here I am reposted and sound asleep.

NO itching and NO shaking, just sleep! Thanks mommy :)  

Well, it's been 4 days since my crop, mommy took my ears down and was so excited about how beautiful I am! She couldn't stop telling me how much she loves me and how happy she is my ears are looking so nice after only four short days! Mommy's Q-Tip method is working! And I'm healing. Here I am, NO tape, NO posts, just me, after only 4 short days!

Well, Here I am 8 days after my Ear Crop! I only have to wear the Breathe Right Strips now, because mommy is afraid my ears might fall down. I look so handsome! Mommy is SOOOOOO Proud of me! Now if I can just learn to walk nicely on my leash, I might get to go to the "show ring".
