Shipping your puppy!

We can ship your puppy with Continental Air!

With Continental, Weather is not as much of an issue as with other carriers, and I can reserve a flight for as soon as the next day ( in most cases ) However it is a 5 hour drive round trip for us to the airport in Atlanta, GA. We prefer Continental. The drive is longer but the service is excellent!

AIRLINE REQUIRMENTS!

Boxer puppies MUST ship in a crate 1 size larger than needed or 3" above their head when standing in the upright most position.

They must be 8 weeks of age or older on the date of shipping.

They must have a certified veterinary health certificate no more than 10 days old.

There can be NO toys, collars, I.D tags, etc.  inside the travel crate.

There will be a food/water dish and puppy "pee" pad/blanket or towel inside the crate with the puppy, NOTHING else.

Charges for shipping your puppy ~

Charges for shipping your puppy are NOT just what the airline charges to ship point "A" to point "B". Below are a list of charges in detail, and what you can expect to pay for the shipping service.

Vet Charges ~

My Vet charges the following in order to approve your puppy

and to issue a health certificate REQUIRED by the airline so your puppy can fly.

The following charges are current as of April 2009 and are subject to change.

Office Visit $25.00

This is charged PER puppy regaurdless or how many he see's at once

DHPP Shot $11.00 ( second shot )

Fecal Exam $9.25

Health Certificate $30.00

Total Cost to get the Health Certificate REQUIRED to fly ~

$75.25

The Shipping Crate :

The shipping crate will be a medium size crate due to the required size to ship a boxer puppy. It will be plastic, with a metal door. It will have either 2 seperate, or one double sided dish so food and water can be given in case of delays, which is also a REQUIREMENT.  

Currently the crate is $30.00 plus tax.

We charge you $30.

The crate is yours to keep.

GAS FEE

To deliver your puppy to the airport, we chage the minimum fee of $20. This covers a small portion of the gas to drive to Atlanta, GA. from Athens, TN.

Actual shipping charges ~

Continental ~

 199.00 + a $16 fuel/insurance charge

Totaling $215.00 ( for a puppy 11 - 50 lbs. )  

Total Cost to Fly Continental ~  

$340.00

So, please expect to pay $340.00 for shipping charges.
